We've tested these types of DIY solutions before with mixed results, but urant's has a few things going for it. First off, it's made from a nice heavy card stock that should help amplify the sound. Second, its structure and tight fit over the phone itself will help ensure the megaphone picks up all the sound. But the best part is it folds down and fits your wallet.
If the picture above makes it look a little complicated, don't worry. Urant has included a printable PDF file over on Instructables. All you have to do is print it, cut it out, and follow the folding directions. This includes the stand and the horn. It's built for the iPhone, but it's easy to modify to work with any smartphone.
