Easy diets To follow: their importance in weight loss

There are a countless number of diets available out there in books, online, and even popping up on a daily basis. This begs the question of what makes a diet a good diet? Personally, whenever I used to go on ?diets? I would rarely ever last more than a couple weeks before giving up or fizzling out.

The importance of finding easy diets to follow

You will never lose weight on a diet that you cannot follow. Let me say that again so you understand. You will not lose weight on a diet that you cannot follow. Makes sense, right?

It is this statement that makes finding a diet that is easy to follow so important in your overall weight loss plan and goals.

Common characteristics of easy diets to follow

There are a few common characteristics among the more popular diets that are easy to follow. It is these factors that are typically what makes a diet easy or hard to follow.

No calorie limit

Trying to sustain yourself on a 500 calorie diet or even a 1000 calorie diet is incredibly difficult. There is no way you could consistently eat 500 or 1000 calories per day and do any sort of exercise. Limiting calories like this will also lead to irritability and crankiness.

Promotes exercise

Dieting alone without increasing your exercise may still give you some results you are looking for. The best diets and weight loss programs, however, come with a combined diet and exercise plan. These programs promote an all-around healthy lifestyle that requires more than restricting fats or carbs.

Consistent and simple

If there is too much variety or choice in a diet more times than not you will not succeed in staying with it. This is because the diet becomes too complicated and leaves you making too many choices ? choices that can easily be turned into dialling your favourite pizza spot. Easy diets to follow are also very simple and spell out exactly what and when to eat so that there is nothing to left wondering.

Here are some easy diets to follow:

I have tried a variety of diets. Some are described below as easy diets to follow, which others were anything but. Some of the more difficult ones included the popular Atkin?s diet, the lemonade diet, and a restrictive 1200 calorie diet, among others. Here are two of the easier ones to follow:

A low fat diet plan

I had created a low fat diet plan that I had stuck with for quite some time. It was fairly simple with strict rules on what to eat and what not to eat. In a nut shell, it came down to eliminating bad fats as found in packages goods or rare animal meats.

The slow carb diet

This is by far the best diet I have ever been on. Whenever I am caught wondering how to lose 10 pounds, I flip to the slow carb diet section of Tim Ferriss? Four Hour Body. This diet is extremely easy and provides you with few choices to make on a daily basis.

I often will eat the same breakfast, lunch, second lunch, and dinner for weeks at a time ? which takes all the guess work out of the equation.

Before you start your next diet, be sure to do proper research and read as many reviews as possible. If you are eliminating certain foods or types of foods make sure you know what you are cutting out of your diet and more importantly, why? Finding an easy diet to follow can often make or break your weight loss goals.
