Celebrities Stump for Non-profits to win $50000 | Mountain Bike Review

Celebrities Will Ferrell, Edward Norton, Todd Wells, Arian Foster, Danny Way and Laird Hamilton stump for organizations to win $50,000 from Ford Explorer and GOOD

Los Angeles, CA ? The online community GOOD and Ford Explorer launched Reinventing the Outdoors, a contest to award a $50,000 grant to one group that is changing the way we live, work and play.

Six lucky organizations are competing for votes starting today, May 16, 2011, and are getting some help from top athletes, actors and Hollywood comedians.? Celebrities Will Ferrell, Edward Norton, Todd Wells, Arian Foster, Danny Way and Laird Hamilton are all advocating for one of the six organizations. ?Voters can cast one ballot per day from May 16-20, 2011 and the winner will be announced on May 24, 2011.? Actor, impressionist and comedian Will Ferrell got his start on the NBC hit Saturday Night Live and has subsequently starred in the comedy films Old School, Elf, Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Stranger than Fiction, Blades of Glory, Semi-Pro, and The Other Guys.

Will Ferrell is stumping for Cancer for College a non-profit founded by two-time cancer survivor and longtime Ferrell friend, Craig Pollard.? The organization offers scholarships to survivors of cancer and amputees who want to live their dream and share in the college experience through funds raised from a golf tournament.? What started as Pollard?s dream, with help from Ferrell and others, has to date awarded more than $750,000 in scholarships to over 700 survivors.

Danny Way & Action Sports Environmental Coalition

Edward Norton & Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust

Academy Award winning actor, Edward Norton, is best known for his roles in Primal Fear and American History X.
